A storm brewing at the back of my head.
Moving towards my temple region.
A forecast of words to come.
Ideas, as clouds, forming in my mind.
Thunder strikes, a bulb lights up.
Words come pouring after.
As the land of script, the words
touch. Influenced by the winds
of doubt, they may stray off path.
Here I am, waiting
for the storm, thunder roars but
no words.

Thanks for the invitation. Are you familiar with the song, Age of Aquarius, by the 5th Dimension? It’s really cool.

The song is a definitive one from the American 1960’s “peace culture” scene. The song was played in the musical “Hair”, and the movie was about the meeting of different cultures in America during that era: i.e., the straight-laced culture versus the new “hippy” culture. People from both cultures wind up having to serve in the Army when the VietNam war is entered. Knowing this aforehand, the movie is a touching, poignant piece in the end, as well as portraying the craziness of that so-called subculture. I’m not too far removed from that timeframe, so I can relate to it. Lyricsbox.com has the printed lyrics (“The Age of Aquarius”) without any visual accompaniment or music. This movie is my favorite musical, I think, and the song lyrics speak of a simple hope for peace and love in the world.
